Scared of what we might not be able to do.
Scared of what people might think if we tried.
We let fears stand in the way of our hopes.
We say no when we want to say yes.

And we shout with the others, when we should keep our mouths shut.

Just do it.”

Life is too short for any regrets

Gifts of Time II by Flavia Weedn
Gifts of Time II

A man is on the verge of dying.

His dream came to pay its last respects and bid farewell to the man who had never used it.

As it entered the room the man looked down in shame.
“Why did you not realise me?” the dream asked.

“Because I was afraid,” the man said.

“Afraid of what?” asked the dream.

“I was afraid I would fail.”

“But haven’t you failed by not attempting to use me?”

“Yes I have, but I always thought there would be tomorrow.”

“You fool!” said the dream, “Did it never occur to you that there was only ever today… the moment that you are in right now? Do you think that now that death is here you can put it off until tomorrow?”

“No.” said the man, a tear gently rolling down his cheek.

The dream was softer now, because it knew that there were two types of pain - the pain of discipline, and the pain of regret - and while discipline weighs ounces, regret weighs pounds.

Then the dream leaned forward to gently wipe away the tear and said, “You need only have taken the first step and I would have taken one to meet you, for the only thing that ever separated us was the belief in your mind that you couldn’t have me.”

Happy Valentine's Day

Fat Cats II

When you love someone truly,
you don't look for faults,
you don't look for answers,
you don't look for mistakes.
Instead, you fight the mistakes,
you accept the faults and
overlook the excuses.

Let love be the guide to your dreams,
let love be the light to your heart,
let your love be the reason why
somebody else's heart still continues to beat.

Live Your Dreams

Follow Your Dreams by Flavia Weedn
Follow Your Dreams

The key to happiness is having dreams.
The key to success is making your dreams come true.

Keep your heart open to dreams.
For as long as there's a dream, there is hope,
and as long as there is hope, there is joy in living.

To accomplish great things
we must not only act, but also dream;
not only plan, but also believe.

A dream is in the mind of the believer
and in the hands of the doer.

Yesterday is but a vision,
and tomorrow is only a dream.
But today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness,
and every tomorrow a dream of hope.

You are never given a wish without being given the power to make it come true.

To Be A Star
You must shine your own light
Follow your own path
And don't worry about the darkness
For it is when stars shine the brightest!

Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow by Karen Tribett
Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

YESTERDAY I met a stranger… Today this stranger is my friend.
Had I not taken the time to say “hello” or return a smile,
or shake a hand, or listen, I would not have known this person.
Yesterday would have turned into today and our chance of meeting would be gone.

YESTERDAY I hugged someone very dear to me. Today they are gone…
and tomorrow will not bring them back.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we all knew TOMORROW we would all be here?
But this is not to be, so take the time TODAY to give a hug, a smile and “I Care”.

JUST FOR TODAY, Smile at a stranger; Listen to someone’s heart;
drop a coin where a child can find it; Learn something new then teach it to someone; tell someone you’re thinking of them; hug a loved one; don’t hold a grudge; don’t be afraid to say “I’m Sorry”; look a child in the eye and tell them how great they are.

Don’t kill that spider in your house, he’s just lost so show him the way out; look beyond the face of a person into their heart; make a promise and keep it; call someone for no reason than to just say “Hi”; show kindness to an animal; stand up for what you believe in; smell the rain, feel the breeze, listen to the wind; use all your senses to their fullest;
Cherish all your TODAYS.

Today I thought about you.
Send this to your friends and loved ones,
let them know they were also thought about TODAY.
As each day is a GIFT to be shared . . .

The Present

Face of clock in hourglass by George Emmons

Imagine there is a bank account that credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening the bank deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course?

Each of us has such a bank. It's name is TIME.
Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds.
Every night it writes off as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to a good purpose.
It carries over no balance. It allows no over draft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day.

If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. There is no drawing against "tomorrow."
You must live in the present on today's deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!

The clock is running!! Make the most of today!

To realise the value of one year, ask a student who failed a grade.
To realise the value of one month, ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.
To realise the value of one week, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realise the value of one hour, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.
To realise the value of one minute, ask a person who just missed a train.
To realise the value of one second, ask someone who just avoided an accident.
To realise the value of one millisecond, ask the person who won a silver medal at the Olympics.

Treasure every moment that you have! Remember time waits for no one.

Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift.
That's why its called the Present.

Times of Your Life

This song always catch my attention whenever it is being advertised on tv, and definitely the attraction was due to the special voice of the singer - Joanna Wang, and the well written lyrics =)

Good morning, yesterday
You wake up and time has slipped away
And suddenly it's hard to find
The memories you left behind
Remember, do you remember

The laughter and the tears
The shadows of misty yesteryears
The good times and the bad you've seen
And all the others in between
Remember, do you remember
The times of your life (do you remember)

Reach back for the joy and the sorrow
Put them away in your mind
The mem'ries are time that you borrow
To spend when you get to tomorrow

Here comes the saddest part (comes the saddest part)
The seasons are passing one by one
So gather moments while you may
Collect the dreams you dream today
Remember, will you remember
The times of your life

Gather moments while you may
Collect the dreams you dream today
Remember, will you remember
The times of your life
Of your life
Of your life

Do you remember, baby
Do you remember the times of your life
Do you remember, baby
Do you remember the times of your life

I remembered one month plus ago, we were busy decorating our house and Xmas tree. Then welcomed the New Year. Just a couple of weeks ago, we were tired and busy with spring cleaning, buying goodies etc for the Lunar New Year. And a week ago we celebrated the Lunar New Year with family and friends - went visiting, eat, drink and a little gambling. And very soon, the 15 days of Lunar New Year celebrations will be over...

Just how fast time flies, we are now into the second month of 2009... As we all know there's no turning back of the time, it will only keep going and going, ticking and ticking, so let's cherish the time, cherish the moments we will be spending with our loved ones and creating beautiful memories for us to remember the "Times of your Life".
